Blancpain GT Series

Encouraged by the success of the Blancpain Endurance Series, world-renowned Swiss watch manufacturer Blancpain and the SRO Motorsports group decided at the end of 2013 to extend their partnership to the Sprint Series, previously promoted as the FIA GT Series, offering teams and drivers the chance to compete for a Blancpain GT Series title that combines sprint and endurance. The Blancpain GT Series has over 10 events with 5 endurance cups and 5 sprint cups.

The aim of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, with five events focusing on the Spa 24 Hours, is to take GT3 cars to three-hour races with two mandatory pit stops. The Blancpain GT series is primarily reserved for GT3 cars, applying the principles of Balance of Performance and a driver categorisation system successfully developed by SRO Motorsports Group. The series includes the Blancpain GT Series Winner for Drivers title and a Blancpain GT Series Winner title for the teams, which will be awarded in general and in the Pro-Am and Am categories.
